Cameron LLP Expands IP Capabilities with the addition of
Thomas H. Jackson as Patent Practice Group Leader

Cameron LLP announced today that Thomas H. Jackson has joined the firm as Partner and Patent Practice Group Leader based in Washington, DC. Mr. Jackson may be contacted directly at 202-293-3559 or tjackson@CameronLLP.com.

Mr. Jackson has been in private practice for more than 20 years representing domestic and foreign clients in U.S. and international patent prosecution and litigation matters, most recently as a member of the PCT Law Group. Earlier in his career, Mr. Jackson served as in-house patent counsel at Siemens USA, AT&T and Bell Telephone Laboratories.

Mr. Jackson has written and prosecuted hundreds of patents to issue in the fields of bio-technology, nanotechnology, business methods, mechanical, chemical, electronic/semi-conductor, electrical, hardware and software systems and computer arts, including special concentrations in telecommunications and converging television technologies and medical and optical devices.

Mr. Jackson brings to the firm a strong in-house perspective, having served as in-house patent counsel at Siemens USA where he concentrated in patent prosecution for telecommunications and data multiplexing subsidiaries. He also served in-house at Bell Telephone Laboratories where he handled the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the telecommunication arts.

He is an experienced litigator having represented patent owners as plaintiffs and defendants in patent cases.

Mr. Jackson's clients include Fortune 500 companies and research hospitals and universities, inventors and start-ups. In his role as Patent Practice Group Leader at Cameron LLP, Mr. Jackson will lead a team of patent attorney specialists in all technical disciplines in drafting, prosecuting and defending patents.

Mr. Jackson is a co-author of Telecommunications Client Strategies, Thomson Reuters/Aspatore, 2008.

He is fluent in both German and French.

Mr. Jackson holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, a Maser degree in Engineering Administration from George Washington University and a JD from Seton Hall University.
